On a whim I took Wawona out for a yard sail today. I moved the sawhorses to a broad reach and got the jib and main set up. It was marvelous! I got to try out changing tension on the down haul and general sail handling. It was glorious!

If it wasn't for the fact I'm on dry land I bet I'd be doing two knots! I need to work on getting the mast a bit more centered but that's an easy fix. I've also reduces most of the things I need to small green bag. In there are the nail that holds the rudder on, some extra rope, extra quick link and various odds and ends. When not sailing it also holds my belaying pins. If I lose it, I'm sunk. So let's hope I don't lose it!
